Answer: C. Lala Lajpat Rai wrote biographies of Mazzini, Garibaldi, Shivaji and Shrikrishna. He lived in the USA during the First World War (about 1914–1919), where he founded the Indian Home Rule League of America in 1917. He was elected to the Central Legislative Assembly in 1926. So option C.
Watch for: Bipin Chandra Pal is linked with Lajpat Rai in 'Lal-Bal-Pal', so students mix them up.
Why the other options are wrong
- A. Wrong because Aurobindo did not live in America or sit in the Central Assembly.
- B. Wrong because Bipin Chandra Pal did not write these biographies or live in America.
- D. Wrong because Motilal Nehru did not live in America or write these biographies.
